Description
Description
Images shows a bulldozer with the signage 'Manawatu Catchment Board' in No. 2 Gully at an unidentified site in Manawatu, stabilising the head. During periods of heavy rain soil particles can detach and be carried along in the flow. A waterfall may form at a gully head and the subsequent splashback at the base of the gully head erodes the soil and gradually eats its way up the slope creating further damage.
