B&W image taken at the Kaikohe Farm (Regional Station of the DSIR) situated in Northland. Kaikohe Farm was developed on a raw gum-land soil, this station was established to extend into the warmer temperate regions of New Zealand the Grasslands Division's plant and pasture improvement programmes as well as to achieve progress in pasture development in Northland. This image shows a sediment pond on the Kaikohe farm.
