BiographyOriginally published by EMI New Zealand, 1974 with the catalogue number PRA760, recorded as seven track stereo.
Recorded by the Waikato Dairy Lab Singers, comprising: Alan Twomey (Leader), Doug Westwood (Piano), John Milne (Accordion), with David Stannard, Graham Duirs, Adrian Bell, Elizabeth Foster, Jenny Rassells, Chris Freke, Margaret Arnold, and Marilyn Embling.
The album was created as an idea for the National Milk Quality Advisory Service by John Milne, Graham Duirs, and Eric Brookbanks, and produced for the Waikato Dairy Laboratory by MAF Information Services Broadcast Unit, Wellington N.Z.
Alan Twomey was Superintendent of the Dairy Laboratory, Milne was a Dairy Advisory Officer, Duirs was a Laboratory Technician, and Brookbanks was a Veterinary Investigating Officer at the Ruakura Animal Health Laboratory.
The songs are sung to traditional and popular melodies, and some have spoken introductions.
